Warptera originally made this model for me for winning his Star Contest at soda play, and since this model has my name in it I decided to use it for this page (and to color it gold... because it's a trophy!). The large system of spinning masses under my name is the model that won the contest, it's called Core and Corona and uses two of the stars that warptera supplied for the contest to create a counter rotor. Then, through a series of wedges this counter rotating motion is converted into linear motion and then finally back to elliptical motion around the circumference of the model in such a way that each adjacent ellipse rotates in the opposite direction as the one next to it. Always thoughtful, and clever, warptera then used the counter rotor as a sort of sub-theme for this trophy model in order to personalize it for the winner (me!)
